Gabriela Tarazona-Sevillano, a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, discussed terrorism and counter-terrorism in the age of globalization.

Gabriela is the author of Sendero Luminoso and the Threat of Narcoterrorism (CSIS Washington Papers). She was a criminal affairs prosecuting attorney in Peru before she came to the United States.

On July 22, the Hoover Institution's Global Markets Working Group, the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford Law School hosted a policy workshop to address the credit crunch and the future role of the Federal Reserve in the financial markets.

Richard Sousa, senior associate director of the Hoover Institution, and Anatol Shmelev, acting associate curator for the Russian/CIS Collection, greeted Consul General Vladimir Vinokurov and his wife, who were given a tour of the Russian archival materials.
